Intarsia Crochet: How to change colors on the right side of the work with diagonal slope.

This video shows you how to change colors on the right side of the work with diagonal slant. Note that the lighter color advances over the lavender color. The first stitch in light color is over the last stitch in lavender color.

In this technique, the yarn of the other color (which is not being worked) is on hold, it is not hidden within the stitches like in tapestry. The result is a lighter and more delicate weave.

The stitch that I used here is the hdc-blo (half double crochet-back loop) You can do it using other stitches like: Single crochet, Double crochet, Half double crochet, etc.

Note that at the first stitch after changing the color I turn the work to tie together the loop that was left over, this gives a more beautiful finish to the piece, which can be seen at the end of the video when I turn the piece to show the wrong side.
